Executive Team

William R. Garth – President

Offering over 25 years of experience and leadership in the independent power industry and a technical background in engineering, Mr. Garth brings a unique perspective and varied experience to the role of President of Indeck Energy Services, Inc.

During his career, Bill has been instrumental in the growth of Indeck, negotiating and restructuring project finance transactions and building a successful track record in all aspects of power generation, including business development, asset management, hedging, plant operations, and mergers and acquisitions.

Bill has spent his career identifying fast-growing economic opportunities where market fundamentals have allowed him to create significant value for Indeck and its project stakeholders. Leveraging that experience, Bill is currently guiding and directing Indeck’s transformation from one of the most successful and respected developers of cogeneration and natural gas-fired power plants into a leading renewable energy project development company.

Prior to joining Indeck, Bill was employed as a mechanical design engineer for the Superconducting Super Collider and as an industrial engineer for General Dynamics. Bill holds an MBA from the University of Dallas and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.

Michael D. Stein – Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Stein is responsible for managing the company’s finances and the oversight of financial reporting. Mike has over 20 years of experience in the power generation and retail energy industries, with detailed knowledge in technical accounting, tax, project finance, financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, budgeting, and financial modeling. Mike joined Indeck in August 2019 as Vice President and Controller. Mike holds a Master of Science in Taxation (MST) and a BS in Accounting, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Michael J. DuBois – VP, Project Development

Mr. DuBois is responsible for the company’s project development and has more than 35 years of experience in the energy industry. At Indeck Energy, Mike directs the development, engineering, and construction of power generation facilities, including several in upstate New York, a 400 MW facility in Enfield, England, and a 1,100 MW facility in Niles, Michigan. He was responsible for engineering, construction, asset management, and operations of 10 gas and coal-fired facilities for J-POWER USA Development. Mike received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Michael D. Ferguson – VP, Asset Management & Operations

Mr. Ferguson is responsible for the company’s facility operations and asset management and has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry. His ongoing responsibilities involve fuel supply, risk management, contract administration, corporate regulatory compliance, and full operations direction. Before joining Indeck, Mike was an energy consultant for various industrial clients on demand-side management opportunities. Mike has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois.

THOMAS L. KRYSIAK – ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER

Mr. Krysiak is responsible for all environmental activities at Indeck operating facilities and new projects. He is also responsible for all health & safety compliance activities at the Indeck operating facilities. He has more than 35 years of operating, maintenance and compliance experience in the power and energy industry. Mr. Krysiak spent 8-years active duty in the U.S. Navy, Nuclear Power program as a plant operator and radiological controls supervisor.

ROSE V. HARMS – DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES

Ms. Harms leads the companywide human resources function and has over 25 years of experience in a variety of public, non-profit, private, and startup companies. Her current focus is to seamlessly assist in establishing productive business relationships, organizational compliance, risk management, and complete employee life cycle support. Rose defines her approach as someone who has dedicated her career as an employee advocate, while simultaneously supporting the organization’s goals and growth. To complement her degree in Human Resources Management and Workplace Mediation, Rose has achieved her PHR and SHRM-CP professional accreditations.
